Cooperation

CERGU and the Centre for European Studies (CES) together form the complete European academic environment at the University of Gothenburg. They offer an interdisciplinary focus on European issues from the research, education, and student activity perspectives. Researchers within the CERGU network also actively participate as teachers for the different European Studies programmes.
CERGU’s international recruitment of researchers actively contributes to the research-informed teaching and the international profile of the European Studies programmes.

CERGU collaborates with the surrounding community by holding courses, presentations, and seminars, together with public authorities, organisations, and companies. This collaboration extends to various departments at the University of Gothenburg and to CERGU’s sister organisation, the Centre for European Studies at Lund University (CFE). CERGU has a strong working relationship with the Swedish networks for European Studies in economy, law, and political science.

CERGU has established a good reputation for collaborating at both the national and international levels, as a stand-alone research centre, as well as part of the overall European research Community.

CERGU and CES jointly support the student organisation Brännpunkt Europa.
