1-2 Internship focusing on European Parliament Elections

The Centre for European Research (CERGU) together with the Swedish National Election Study programme at the University of Gothenburg is looking for 1-2 interns for the spring semester of 2019. The task will mainly consist of producing a number of fact sheets about European parliament elections and voter behaviour. These fact sheets will be targeted to a general audience, and also explain the context of the election (e.g. information about how the EU works), provide examples of up to date political issues and provide some comparative outlooks to other EU member states. These fact sheets will be produced in both Swedish and English versions. The interns are also expected to participate in the activities of CERGU and the process of the up-coming Swedish European Parliament Election study.
We are primarily looking for 20 weeks internship (the full spring semester 2019). We need (at least) one intern to be fluent in Swedish and one (at least) to be fluent in English. Extensive knowledge about the EU, and experience of using quantitative methods and data (especially surveys), are considered additional qualifications.
The internships will be based at the department of political science, University of Gothenburg.
Ongoing selection process. Apply as soon as possible but no later than November 5. For more information: contact Linda Berg, Director of CERGU, linda.berg@pol.gu.se, 031-7861062.
