Trade policies and challenges in the light of the next commission


The speaker will be Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for Trade since 2014, having previously served as the European Commissioner for Home Affairs between 2010 and 2014. Prior to her appointment as Commissioner, she served as the Swedish minister for EU affairs, and as a member of the European Parliament. In 1998, Malmström received her Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Gothenburg.

Cecilia Malmström will talk about the changing dynamics in the European Union in the light of Brexit and the possible outcomes on future trade. She will also talk about what the future EU Commission will have to face in terms of challenges and trade issues.

The audience will have 30 minutes to ask her questions after her lecture.
